EDGING & TRIM

air-attack
Enemy forces are invading your air space.

Battle helmet buffeting, pocket turbulence, and wind-noise in the motorcycle air pocket head-on with either of these two low-profile wind deflectors: airLift edging and trim. Taller windscreens offer minimal benefits and come with drawbacks. Specifically, by pushing more air, taller shields also increase the change in pressure between the air stream and the pocket.  These changes in the motorcycle air pocket pressure are what makes the pocket noisy and turbulent. Instead of adding more problems, let’s deploy a new weapon to smooth, quiet and enlarge the air capsule.  This new weapon uses Micro-Swirl™ technology to help eliminate air flow conflict.

For high tech air
supremacy.

Saeng’s airLift™ edging and trim, classified as low-profile motorcycle wind deflectors, use advanced technology to produce micro-eddies (also known as Micro-Swirls™). These eddies work as air bearings to separate the back flow from the main air stream. It is helpful to think of them as air bearings which flow in a boundary area between the outer air stream and the interior pocket. The result is a smoother, softer and more expansive pocket.

battle-plan
Choose how to deploy your forces.

The best line of attack to combat noise and buffeting is to negate the problem at its source… The shield’s edge and that is exactly where these low-profile motorcycle wind deflectors mount.  airLift™ edging slips onto the shield’s edge to improve the motorcycle air pocket while airLift™ trim uses a peel-n-stick strip to adhere almost anywhere.

Often the trim is used along the edge of body panels to allow heat to escape or along the edge of air deflectors for even more boost and comfort.  Trim is also used on the frame of boat windshields to reduce buffeting and wind noise for the crew.

Whichever you choose, airLift products will combat turbulence, helmet buffeting, and wind-noise at its source. Triumph over eye blurring, ear popping, helmet shaking and burning heat with airLift products. Here is a link for more info on air management. Furthermore, if you seek real-world testing experiences, ranging from adventure touring the Autobahn to V-Rod cruising American back-roads, these two independent edging tests will undoubtedly provide valuable insights.

loss the noise
Long periods of helmet noise and shake are no laughing matter.

Motorcycling helmet wind noise and shake ares no joke.  There are plenty of studies showing how dangerous noise levels can be to hearing but few if any on how tiring buffeting is. If you would like to learn more about this issue, here is a short and to the point abstract from Cambridge University Press.
